Telephone consultations: getting the advice you need has never been easier!

Do you want advice about cosmetic treatments? Or do you have a question about a skin problem? But are you unable to come in to see us because you are too busy or do not live in London? Freedomhealthskin has the answer!

Our telephone consultations are a convenient way to get the answers to a skin concern be it about cosmetic treatments or skin problems, without the need for a face to face consultation. You can book a consultation with either Lee, our Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, one of our GPs or our consultation dermatologist Dr Lucia. Meet the team.

Please note that telephone consultations are only available during our clinic hours.

How do telephone consultations work?

To start we ask you to complete a very short online questionnaire about your skin concern and what advice you are looking for. Then we ask you to upload three photographs. If you are looking for general cosmetic advice then it's best to have one photograph taken straight on and then one photograph taken from the left and right side of your face. If you are asking for dermatology advice then ideally we would like one close up of your skin concern and then two photographs from different angles taken from slightly further away.

The photographs you upload need to be a jpeg or a png and have resolution of at least three megapixels.  Remember that they need to be in focus!

Once you have submitted your questionnaire and photographs a booking reference number will be sent to your account. You simply ring us and quote this number to book your telephone consultation. Remember to specify who you would like to have a consultation with.

A telephone consultation costs £55 and lasts up to twenty minutes.

Limitations of telephone consultations

We will do our best to give you the advice you are seeking. However the advice given does not offer a guarantee due to the limitations of telephone consultations compared to traditional face to face consultations.

If you are looking for a diagnosis of a skin problem we cannot guarantee this every time and sometimes will advise you to visit us at our Harley Street clinic for a face to face consultation or to see your GP. Because you are paying for our professional advice rather than for the guarantee of a diagnosis, we won't be able to make a refund if we can't diagnose your problem.

We cannot prescribe you or send you treatments for your skin condition. This service is about giving you advice and information. Additionally we do not provide sick notes.

Alternatives to telephone consultations

You can visit us at our Harley Street clinic for a face to face consultation, see your GP or call NHS Direct. NHS Direct is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can reach it on 0845 4647.

Telling your GP

It's important that you keep your GP informed of any treatment that you are taking. If you would like us to inform your GP please discuss this during your consultation. We are very happy write to your GP with a summary of the consultation.

But please be assured that we will not contact your GP without your consent.
